Thick & hard bottom for sure! I had trouble getting out of it especially trying to get over all the dead cane. Rob elected to beach himself on the cane we both tried to get stuck the GTR wasn't having any of it though If I had been all over the cane like Rob I would have had to get out & push too.

With a dead battery, his engine wouldn't turn over. I'm sure he's glad I was there to lend a Trolling Motor battery. Just goes to show everyone we can talk smack all week long but still make sure the other person gets back to the ramp at the end of the day.

I went back in there during the run 2 weeks ago and it was about the same water level still thick mud!

Oh BTW his rig can outrun mine any day in the curves, now the straight away it's pretty darn close.

I have had 3 go-devil boats. First one was a 18x60 which would turn on a dime even when I put my 50 yamaha on it. 2nd was a 16x44 it also turn great. Now I have a 16x60 SD boat and it slides like crazy...Just have to learn slow down a little going into some turns..

Being a former gdsd owner, I can honesty say I thought my gd rig was tough as nails. I also can say that on my new rig I might have a power trim fail or a clutch go out, but I will not own another mud motor without it. I've been in some places lately that I would not have made it out without the reverse. At one time I also was in denial about wanting power trim, neutral, and reverse. Sometimes you just have to eat that crow and get rid of the gd and get something you'll be much happier with.

I'll call Giga to tow me in when my pos gtr breaks down!

6 years and I never missed a duck hunt because of a trim , switch or relays!! Come to think about it if any of those pieces do go out it ok you can wire it in forward you don't need a trim you can just work it Like a dinosaur !

i dont know what you gdsd guroos are braging about everytime and i mean evertime ive been on a ride we had to pullout not one but all the gdsds out because they were stuck so how many ducks can u posably kill being stuck all the time unless you only hunt in clear water

duck hunted everyday last season crawfished the whole season and my gtr never left me in the woods or broke down onlything it cost me was oil and filters so i dont get it when you say they keep breaking also there are vtwice as many gtrs out there than anything else so do research and find out how many per hundred of each brand were broke then talk about that also we use our boats every weekend not just duck season you use your maybe 60 days a year we use ours 250

First LA Mud Run I went with GaugeTheDuckDog and we rode out for a cruise started cruising the lilies GTR was tearing it up. We were just in my boat no mods just stock... Everything was great! Then I stopped in the thick of it

Having never been in anything like that before I can honestly say it's like nothing I've ever seen. Hyacinth doesn't hold a candle to that crap! I couldn't slide off it. I had a raft of sh!t under the boat and couldn't get it to slide out from underneath.

After 20 minutes we were out

I just have to stop and laugh at this shit sometimes! Well knock on wood, the truth is in the past 5.8999 years I've owned my PD. I have yet to be towed back to the launch due to any type of malfunction! Matter of fact the second year at Caddo I ran that bitch with a knocking LU for more than 4 hours. Mercy, that thing was making some racket! I had everyone and there mom looking at me as I went by!

Still made it back to the launch unassisted. PD took care of the problem after warranty too!
