 Questions
1. What can I do to increase the performance/horsepower out of my 23hp (175 hours) GD LT?
2. How often do I need to grease the tail? I use the boat probably 20 times per year.
3. How often should I change the oil? What type of oil do you guys prefer?
4. How often do you clean the carb?
5. Have you ever experienced the motor to pop when you shut it down with the prop still spinning and accidentally lower the prop in the water? (Wondering if that's what happened when I took it out the other day)
6. What are some spare parts that you would keep around for a rig like this?
7. Referring to the pic below does that red wire connected from the battery to the cellunoid need to be replaced? What gauge wire is that?
Thanks for the help guys!

 Re: Questions
Dang 7 good answers and no thread ninjas - thats gotta be a record....
Only thing to add - on question number 1. New prop is about the simplest and most overlooked performance boost there is --- judging from those wires you have a lil age and hours working --- measure tip to tip prop diameter and if you have lost more than 1/2" you might wanna new prop !
At 175 hours - I was on prop number 3 - sandy mud is the devil on props...
Good Luck this season !
