 Re: Video Camera
I have both of them. Depending on what you are wanting to do, each one has it pros and cons. Let us know what you are wanting to film and I'm sure someone can help you make a decision. And WestEndAngler will probably be the best source of info on any of these things.

 Re: Video Camera
I think the audio distortion on the Ikams is horrible. Unbearable! Get ready to add music over your video.
The GoPro has a sealed case which makes it waterproof perfect for on the boat & helps reduce wind noise. Ikams I had fail on me 3x! Send back in each time.
You can use head strap mount etc. Heck I even put a GoPro on Sadie to get her POV when fetching up ducks!

 Re: Video Camera
I have a GoPro and it's great. They are constantly making new mounts and accessories also. Now they have a float for them incase it goes over board. Can't tear it up in the case. Kind of a fish eye look but it covers 170 degrees... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=382iv5GmT6k

 Re: Video Camera
I've been using a sony handycam for a few years, only problem I've had is the auto focus, sometimes it's hard to get it focused on a bird or something because there's some brush from the blind in the view.

 Re: Video Camera
I've watched both of them on youtube and like the go pro better, was just wanting to get some input on the two. I'll be using it for duck hunting, riding in the boat and a lil deer hunting.

 Re: Video Camera
/\ $200 for camera alone, many kits $250-$300.

 Re: Video Camera
Hold the show........... I saw a new one thats out on the TV the other night. The Rhino Lid Cam that slips on the bill of your cap like the cap lights do. Im interested in this one do to the ease of use and mounting. Seems it would put it right where it needs to be. http://rhinoutdoors.com/product-details.php?prodid=13http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gn3Kdxb-s-chttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4TpFyyezXB0
