Local lakes are all pretty much completely dried up now. It's horrible, I'm ready for rain, and then duck season

I'm ready too.

I stepped outside right before dark tonight and there was a set of about 30 specks fly over. I could hear them kackling and coming from a long way off. Got me pumped up. It was like music to my ears.

went to cathoula lake in louisina this week and it wasnt much water but there were thousands of ducks mostly pintail and teal.

I was in lake fausse pointe lastnight and right before dark there were a couple hundred geese fly and liteing right across the levee from the lake. Never seen geese so close before they were cupped up right above us

I've never heard or seen such a thing. Specks lighting in the Basin? Ha. Guess I'm gonna try fishing for specks in the Basin, too. :lol:

I guess I have to eat my words. After 15 years of hunting the Basin, I have finally seen geese there. When I came around that point I was like, "I'll be a mutha phucker." Liked to chit my pants. There were 6 Canadians live before my eyes. I blame it on global warming. Or Obama. That both have things phucked up. :lol:
