Well, let me begin by saying what a great opener. Saw lots of birds working. I hunt private property and found a honey hole away from all of the other hunters a few weeks ago. For the last two weeks I've wondered why no one else would have set up in this honey hole since it seemed to be quite a few birds. Well, at 7:03am I found out! BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, lmao.

My newly found honeyhole is 100 yards from a very popular public hunting compartment and someone was probably set up from us only 100 yards away! It was too late for us to move and I dont blame whoever was on the other side of the levee for not moving after shooting time, but jeez, it sounded like a war zone from all hunters on the public side. Especially the guys that were real close to us, when they shot for the first time I thought an army had come over the levee to attack us! A few times their shots screwed up some birds that were locked in on us, but we still were only 2 birds short at 8am. Stayed till 9am to get the last 2 tealy birds. Right before we left we were hammered by raining bb's.

Now I know that my new honey hole is a mon, wed, fri, or sunday honey hole, lol. I thought I had to deal with overcrowding on my side, but the other side of the levee sounded like 5 groups of hunters in a couple hundred acre area. Ahh well, sounded like everyone got plenty of shooting in, and when I say plenty, I mean a case of shells each, lol.

Um, if you were where I'm thinkin, that's actually part of that same wma those guys were in, but it's CLOSED. Be careful over there, some of them mofo's aint all there.
