What was your first mud rig?
Thought it would be cool to see what everybody's first rig was before they upgraded to thier newer rigs.
I ran a 1442 with a 13hp lt, then upgraded to 24hp

Re: What was your first mud rig?
I started in style...2004 GatorTrax 1854 HyperTunnel with 29 HP Kawasaki EFI Hyperdrive motor...later upgraded the motor to 35 HP Vanguard. I sold that boat to a guy who has become one of my top 2 hunting partners...I hunted out of that boat last Sunday.
There have been four mudboats since...

Re: What was your first mud rig?
1970 rivited Sears 15/52 with a 25 Yamaha. When I burnt it up, I bought a 25 Suki. Yes, they were too mud boats, they just shouldn't have been. lol Traded the Sears for a 15/48 G3. Sold the Suki before I killed it & bought a 27 MB. I don't have the time or energy to post em all since then. Sent from my Commando

I still own mine. Its a 2006 1436 Alumacraft rivited boat (with pods) and a nice little GDLT 16hp motor. It aint no GatorTrax or custom build but it gets me and a couple guys just about anywhere I wanna go on about 5 bucks worth of gas.

Re: What was your first mud rig?
First mud rig was a 14' pirogue with a 5hp Briggs. Direct drive. the shaft came straight out the back of the pirogue. It ran good til ya tried to "gas on it". When ya gave it too much throttle it would nosedive and that was that. Called it the hell diver. Spent more time on the bottom than it did floatin. That was back bout 25 or so years ago. Fun times.
