 Biloxi Marsh Anybody run across Lake Borgne to hunt the Biloxi Marsh? If so were do you launch and how far of a run is it to get to the marsh?

Re: Biloxi Marsh I don't do it but if you live in Slidell it's better to do that than drive down to Hopedale. The only problem is the lake will get really rough . Some friends of mine drop in by fort Pike and cross but they only do it to fish. I wouldn't do it with a mud motor though,I've taken many a beatings crossing that lake in a 45' boat before in winter.

Re: Biloxi Marsh I live in Alabama so it would be closer than Hopedale but I figured it would be kind of a stretch in my mud boat. I have heard of people doing it but I dont think I will be trying it after hearing from yall. Just wish good hunting was a little closer to home. Thanks for the responses

Re: Biloxi Marsh I've done it in a 23' bay boat and it was rough! Don't attempt in a Mud Boat. I hunt Biloxi WMA avidly and the hunting is good enough to make the drive. I know guys that drive it from Mobile, Al - it takes them just as long as it does me coming from BR.
