 No spark, sometimes, 24 honda
24 Honda GD. Today is the second time it did this in the last 2 months. Failed at the ramp today. By the time I got home, it starrted right up. When it happens, turns over fine, no spark to either plug. Disconnected the kill switch, no difference. I just am not familiar enough with these to start digging around.
Seems like something is "loose" that at some point, won't allow/produce spark but i don't know where to begin looking, especially when it is starting. So open to any suggestions. Thanks

Sounds like something is loose or going bad on the ignition side of things. Try wiggling the connections going to your kill switch and your keyswitch, see if you can get it to do it again. I've had to wiggle my kill switch before, it was doing the same thing.

That motor has a low oil pressure alert-if the oil level is low it'll kill the spark. I'd add a lil oil try it, next time it acts up oh The switch for continuity
Also the ignition diodes could be going south

Thanks. I even unpluged the kill switch (remove the lower connector and that removes the kill switch from the circut)
Oil is level looks full but good to know. I'll look into the diodes. LT

Re: No spark, sometimes, 24 honda
Thanks for the info....I talked to the guys at GD. They said they have not heard of a diode going bad...thier experience has been that they work or not. We talked about the oil as well and got good info on how to disconnect it to see if that is the issue next time. Interestingly, on thier smaller Honda's, they reccommend you add 4 oz's extra oil to prevent the sensor from going off when you tilt the engine way up. So I added some extra to see if that will resolve it. Always hard to fix it when it is not broken. Thanks again, Leon
