Ive just bought a southern duck boat this past summer and was wondering if these speeds are alright for the load I'm carrying it's a 1748 with a 36 pd with 2 guys at 250lbs and a 50lb dog a dozen dekes and mojos blind bags etc..... I'm getting around 23mph is this good and if not what upgrades could I do without moding the motor put to much and this is in deep water

For a stock motor on that bat with that load I would say thats fine.

What would you mod up to with doing to much work to the motor I that was an option

Also your astro glide on his boat would just be a band aid(if it even made a 1 mph difference). He needs to fix his problem then worry about something else
