 Stage 1
I know a lot of different builders/companies have a different recipe for their "stage 1" What do yall prefer, and why?
Thinking a little extra power may be in store for me in the not so very distant future.
really not interested in swapping to a muniki carb, but have no reservations on some factory carb work.

 Stage 1
Heads and cam with exhaust !! No need for a aftermarket carb or intake!! Will have good bottom end and lots of load carrying power!

 Re: Stage 1
I like the way my motor runs with heads, cam, and exhaust. SS valves, decked..um...050-.060 (can't remember right now), shimmed springs, BPS cam, and an older EVT exhaust.
DB8 hooked me up with some lower profile button head screws for the choke butterfly and ground down the bar the butterfly is screwed to. Just rounded the edges off and made it more streamline for better airflow. Got one of the old donaldson adapters that accepts a cone style filter too.
I have a mikuni to put on it, but I'm really happy with how the motor runs and not sure if I really feel like fooling with getting the rest of the parts and putting it on. So far, it's done everything I've needed it to with the stock carb.
