Anyone had good luck with Drake waders? All I've been hearing is bad reports.

 Re: Drake Waders?
I had these cabellas waders for 5 years before the boots finally dry rotted out. We hunt in soft marsh and you have to wear chest waders for every hunt. Just replaced them with the exact same pair a couple weeks ago. I highly recomend them http://www.cabelas.com/product/Footwear ... t103895280

 Drake Waders?
What pair do you have white boy?
Word on the street is... The MST have leaking problems right out of the box.
EST is way too expensive when I can go out and buy Alphaswampfox that will last me 3 seasons for half the price.
LST are just too damned thick/bulky

 Re: Drake Waders?
Always order a size smaller in waders. Put plastic grocery bags on your feet and they will slide in like a loose va.....you get the point

 Re: Drake Waders?
Ive got the mst..... no leaks first year... fixed a small leak in the seam of the right boot half way through this season. I have now developed a weeping seem at the left knee........I walk alot in these waders, down levees and through marsh grass and muck. The boot tightners on the waders work great. I have never pulled my foot out of boot while walking through the sticky stuff. They are very rugged with the addition of the cordura on the legs and seat. I agree the sides are low, got some water in at dam b last weekend. My fault but 2 more inches and I wouldnt have been wet. I think the low sides are to accomadate the built in fleece hand warmer. Overall I have been pleased with the product and the fit is the best I have worn ( because of boot system, I have narrow feet)........... however.......I usually wear my breathable hodgeman waders with the lace up boot unless I will be in the water or the temps have dropped to the low 40's......so I only wear the drakes for about half the season.

 Re: Drake Waders?
Forked over the money last year for EST. Made 2.5 hunts before the shoulder strap ripped off while in the bayou.
I will say Drake did give me my money back as I didn't want a second pair. Bought the alphas and didn't look back.
I like the features and cordora that drake has if they could only get the chinese to improve their QAQC.

 Re: Drake Waders?
I am on my 3rd pair of Drake LST and the only reason I had more than one pair is they keep giving me free waders. I wouldnt recommend them to anyone who actually hunts. The knee patches come off and they leak in the ass. I still use my 4 year old cabelas if im standing in water over knee deep.

 Re: Drake Waders?
Have a pair of cabelas dry plus wafers for early season a pair of their ultimate waders for mid season and a pair of their supermags for late season, all awesome! Reasonably priced as well

Crews Im sure they would sell you an iron on Drake logo so you can just put it on your Academy wadders. You could still be kool, from a distance anyway...........

 Re: Drake Waders?
love mine, but i bought mine so i could look cool at the boat ramp....by far the most comfortable set ive owned, warm and the boot tighteners work good. so far i would buy another set of em but im only at the end of the second season with em.

 Drake Waders?
I'm on a season and half with my LST. Small seeping leak on the knees but put some aqua seal on it and overall I like them.
Don't have to wear several layers with the fleece lining.
