Post Rev Limiter
Can I put a electronic rev. limiter on a stock carb? Is there any benefits or neg. of doing this. I am running right around 4000 rpm wide open out of water. I have a purple gov. spring, but the thing that I don't like I have my gov. screw almost cranked tight. the spring that is around the screw looks like it is ready to pop off.

You already have a Rev limiter built into the motor. YOu do not need a external rev limiter besides the one you got. No benefit and no negative to adding one

If all your turning is 4000 oow, u need to crank that up to 4300 to give a lil more go. The spring will b fine.

I know but he said he has a stock motor which means he did none of that except change a spring out. I know how the rev limiter works, if his motor is stock then he didn't remove the govenor gear.

OF course you can, but what the hell for? A stock motor is not gonna reach a critical RPM, so why would you put a external rev limiter on it......Wow...come on DB8, aren't you SUPPOSE to be some kind of MM guru.
