Sir Ricky Aucoin without question, seen them all and his is the best built and most reasonably priced out of all of those there.

Ricky Aucoin hands down! The man takes pride in his work and is damn creative when it comes to putting out a nice rig.

btw I found this quote about him from Jesse James, owner of West Coast Customs fame in a welding trade magazine American Machinist:

As far as which is built the strongest all are tit for tat. Most of the bracing on them are pretty much the same. Shapes and design is what you won't in them. As far as performance if they are set up with the right transom and angle for the type of mm they all do well. As for as speed their is only 6 boats that has gotten to that stage. and all 6 or

I have never seen an Aucoin in person but the boats I have seen here sure look nice. He definitely does great work.

I own a Phowler and love my boat. It is tough, good looking, and runs great both with and without a load, but it is just a wide open ole jon boat with a point on the bow. I definitely wouldn't classify it as a work of art but I would buy another one if I ever wear it out.

Based on what I have seen firsthand I voted for Excel. My old boat was a nice boat inside and out. It was too heavy and in my opinion not ideal for a stock mm of any brand. And looking at the new boats that Excel is building, those are some nice boats. Not my cup of tea mind you, but the nicest I have seen.

There is a gum tree off of grand river with a 2"x10" chunk taken out of it because of his skiff.

As much as I'm gonna brag and be proud of them Gator-Tails .... Ricky's boathulls catch me likin' them alot !!!

I honestly like alot of the builders hulls and I thank thay is a certain amount of quality and style in them all and each one have a place not havin' to worry with .... "who's is the best". I can dang sho catch a limit and shoot a limit in each one and thats ......a MtrFact !!!!
