Phowler Basic Lite Jon 1840 with 27PD Loaded
We have been running these new Lite Jons for over a year now and have been very pleased with the results. The boat tested last week was a model 1840 .100 5086 hull with rear splash rails and a stock 27 PD Short Shaft with reverse. Boat had 6 gallons of gas, gun box, all safety gear.
Conditions: Windy, 15-20 mph, lake depth 3-4' down to 6".
Speeds: 1-2 men 22-23mph, 3 people 20 mph deep water, four men 17-18 mph, five men 15-17 mph.
The boat handled great, turns on a dime and got on step, even with a five man load.
These little boats are very easy to handle and will take punishment.
We are using 5086 .100 material in these boats, making them much tougher then 5052 .100 hulls. Phowler is the only company offering a .100 5086 hull.
Will post up some video and pictures shortly.

thats pretty strong for a 27 PD. Glad you posted the videos....definitely adds a bit of credibility

Bump, some guys have been asking for speeds of our light jons with 27 PD, though I would bump this up so they can find it.
