me too bud, except had to work today unfortunatly. nothing like just slaughtering birds. just really hammering down on em and shooting duck birds in the face. really, it just gets my rocks off. nothing like just slamming em, you know...right in the face. gotta shoot em in the face.

I don't think there is a single duck in the MS delta right now where I hunt.

Maaaaan, I'm jealous. Our season sucked, about 50 ducks and 90 coots in the boat, and most of that was in the 1st split. Last 2 days of our season and I ain't even messing with it, thunderstorms, 65 degrees and no birds.

We had a good morning too 15 mallard drakes. 2pintail drakes .1 hen pintail(dammit) 6 gwt

What's really weird is we've barely killed any woodies? Thnk we've gotten maybe 20 mallards all season, barely any teal maybe 30 most all gwt. My parts don't have many bwt. No pintail all year unfortunately. Rest was greys. It's been a weird season this year. Unless I hunted the leases in Louisiana which wasent much this year, I didint see anything but greys, teal, a the rare mallard. Shot only a handful of redheads same with canvasbacks.

In Nov we were covered in Woodies. I haven't seen one until yesterday for 2 months. We were talking about them not being here. Kinda weird. They nest here alot. I've never even shot at a red head. They are beautiful ducks for sure

Yeah the few woodies we got this year were the only ones we saw, they seemed to of disappeared this year. Yea redheads were new to me this year as well until I hunted a new lease my father got on in white ville Louisiana. Never seen or even Hurd of one in Texas.

I hardly ever see too many divers. I shot a common goldeneye a few years ago. That's the coolest looking duck I've shot.would have mounted it but damn dog tore it to hell

I rarely see them either. A buddy of mine shot one last year those are definitely a unique looking bird.

last weekend we had probably 2000 goldeneyes fly by us to bad ducks are out of season up here.

My crawfish ponds in SETX are holding about 200 woodies a few Greys and mallards too. Going to bust their ass tomorrow. Been letting them sit for two months not getting harassed. Went to the lease this morning and took out 5 green heads and a Grey. Was covered up with green but unfortunately was hunting solo.

i got about 1000 plus mallards in the field acrossed from my house that neve made it south

This year was definitely odd.
The wood ducks were never thick this year, but 1 week after the second split started you might see 20 where you normally saw 200.

I also didnt kill a single grey last season, this season that was the majority of what we shot.
