Wait a minute........35 HP SD Go Devil that runs like a top for 20 seconds, has only 152 hours on it. $2700.00????? You got a deal Dude.......Take it to a Briggs mechanic or back the GO Devil. They will have it running like a top in less time than it takes to have lunch. JMHO Duckdon

 Re: Bumb deal on gdsd
Sorry fellas, he fixed all up an I was going to test it again and when we was on our way to the launch the motor fell clean off the boat right in front of an 18 wheeler. Needless to say it is history, and he also said I didn't owe him anything, so I guess I'm just a tire kicking ___hole that is tryin to write for a cheap paper.

Yes I was just joking, and I don't know if he sold it, I figured since most of y'all are so good at talking shit I'd give y'all something else to talk about.

 Re: Bumb deal on gdsd
And another thing, the motor probably didn't have a fuel problem , there was a leak in the hose so it was probably sucking air

Re: Making something out of nothing
All in all it worked out for the best, the motor was too heavy for my boat and that's why he let me test it on my boat in the first place, I picked up that 31 mud buddy and it is just right, it hopped real bad when I was alone buy I brought it to work and welded a single bead on each side under the boat and that's all it needed. It's almost scary fast.

Re: Making something out of nothing
You know the 31 and 35 weigh exactly the same right? They are built on the same block. One was a MB and one a GD but I doubt the weight is that much different between the two frames.

Re: Making something out of nothing
That's what I thought but when that go devil was on my boat it squated a lot more and when I came to a sudden stop the water came over the transom. I know the motors are the same block bu I figured all that boxed in galvanized steel made a little difference. We had to use a chain fall for the go devil cause there was no way us two could have put it on with out it but we man handle the mud buddy with just two of us cause there was no place to hang a chain fall.

Re: Making something out of nothing
It's the hyper sport without the clutch, it might not be lighter, maybe it's my imagination trying to convince me that I made the right decision, but I know I did, it was a few hundred cheaper and had a lot less hours.

Re: Making something out of nothing
For $2700 that motor could have been spruced up and running right....then turned around and sold it for an extra few hundred. It does sound like you missed out.
Idon't see why yall couldn't wait to get all this done on a weekend or when both parties weren't in such a rush.

Nah I have a good one. But I am pretty sure after this past duck season that the last thing she want to hear or read about is a mudmotor or hunting.
