 Building mud motor.
my duck hunting spot is getting to be very shallow and i am looking into building a mud motor without buying any kits. anyone have any tips or advice they can give me about when to get the parts needed. i want to build a long tail mud motor off of a 6.5 horse motor.

Forget the plans. These things are not rocket engines. Do some research online. Look at some pictures. Use a good side view picture to create a scale and take measurements on it. Ask questions.

right. and that is what i am doing. just going to get the things from what i can see in other pictures and spend an afternoon in the shop!!! Plenty of down time until next Oct 1st when duck season opens back up.

oh yes very simple build. i built mine with the plans to get a rough idea on all of the dimensions and angles for the shaft. just a weekend in the garage is all it took to throw together.
