Gonna be really cool when you pull on the side of other mb and take off lol!! Only thing I'm not to sure of I know when you turn the mb frame all the way to the side it rolls on it's side !! Trying to reverse with with jumping is gonna be a little hard but I guess it's better than push polling !!

ANYTHING is better than a push pole!!!! When I first saw the gears for sale, the wheels started turning in my head, trying to figure out how to do it. Once you figure out how far to space the belt housing for pulley alignment and a way to mount the caliper it's a piece of cake. Originally I wasn't gonna have to chop the top of the housing off, but the clutch was so close to the upper inside wall that I was afraid of it hitting if I re geared and had to apply more belt tension. It uses the same brake lever for operation too. I still have to clean up a few cuts, then build a nice cover for it all, and I'll be backing it on up!!!!

Cant wait to see it in action....i hope some video gets posted soon!

he's not the first one to do it. seen that done two yrs ago a guy and i think his buddy also did it they were from minn. hope they are on this site and respond. i guess if all u dumb forkers that own a mudbuddy might want to do this. than gt can charge a 2000.00 return core charge. the rich get richer and the ones that want reverse get poorer.

Rod, Now you can enjoy having a nice feature for your motor. I seen the pic on FB and seen how you did it.. I like it. I suggest one thing.... Make yourself a different belt housing cover where you had to cut the casting out to bolt the Caliper. It works now, But for Better asthetics.... you get my drift.

Rod is a tinkering feller. I knew onew day someone would do it. GT reverese is simple,reliable, and bolts to a briggs motor...Props to the man has built 2 mudmotors for way under retail value.

Yeah I am gonna replace that part Marcus, didn't have anyone thick plate. Also, the clutch cover will hide that.

Maybe add some flames drawn into the clutch cover, and MBR. Not cut all the way through though.

You do know according to the double douche duo the as much problem's their is with gt parts that your only gonna get one use out if it!! Then parts are gonna be hard to find lol

Are you gonna run a mb prop?

It would be so easy for Gator Tail to design a mechanical link between the reverse lever and the clutch switch so that all one would have to do to engage reverse is press the lever. The action would have to have a built in fail-safe feature to avoid disengagement of the clutch at high rpms. More better instant reverse.
