Launched in the vermillion river and ran up and down for 30 minutes. All I can say is kick ass acceleration. Full range of acceleration. Slight hesitation when throttle pegged but no sputtering or dying. It was all I could do to hold on and look back at my tack. Got up to 4200 and still accelerating . It was squirely fast. Never reached WFO because I didn't have rev limiter installed and there is lots if debris in river from the recent rains I didn't want to hit which might cause engine to over rev. What to do with this outlet from one of the valve covers? Leave it, plug it, reroute it?

It's called a breather filter. Any autoparts store will have them.

looks spot on. electrode is nice and brown getting a good burn. go run it a little longer. find a spot that u can do a long wot run. reach back kill engine. pull plugs and take a pic. and report back. u said u have a sputter. please explain better is it when u are running the engine under load or no load sitting on trailer. or when u are blipping the throttle.

Buy little air filter from auto zone come red blue or white fires perfect over it.

put on the limiter. set idle around 1200 rpms. and set your idle air setting like fat head craig says. jk. craig. maybe you and delta need to come up and shoot some of these damn pesky midget geese. the boys are smacking em real good lately. might be just what the doctor ordered. a break from mmt. and remember craig. mmt is just not for craig anymore.

Got the chance to really test me new carb at SETX 2012 this weekend. I gained about 400 rpms and ran 27.5 consistently and bumped 28 a few times. But I never opened her up all the way cause rev limiter not connected. Those speeds were at about 4050 rpms. But where I can tell the real performance boost is acceleration!! What a difference!! On step almost immediately. Engine starts up quickly, as well and idles very nicely. Worth every penny the upgrade. Get you one.

This weekend was the first time I got to test my new carb with two people in my boat. Wow!!! What a difference! On step right away. Top end who knows but way faster. Other than a couple times I had fuel delivery issues under load, the improvement was more than I ever expected. Should have installed it long ago. Can't wait for my crossover muffler which is currently on back order. Its nice to be able to cruise at 3/4 throttle then be able to squeeze out a few more rpms in the last 1/2 inch of throttle.
