Post Almost ready to stick some fish!!!
Now that all the hunting seasons are over its time to get the boat ready for the next "season"!

I know its not as nice as some setups but I believe it'll work.

That's all you need to smoke some reds. I hope it holds up while riding on the trailer.

Bayou, do you think I'm gonna have problems with it on the trailer? 4 of the legs are down thru the hull and resting on a collar. And the 2 middle legs are sitting on the catwalk.

I guess if it don't work out I'll make the same rack, but out of aluminum pipe and have it welded.

Yeah, them LED's seem nice. But at $40 a piece I don't like them that much. I got all 13 of my lights for about $160. 13 LED's would be $500. I don't have $500 in my whole setup.

And silence ain't gonna happen on my rig. That 4500 Black Death on the back ain't exactly a whisper series.

Someone post up a nightime pic of these LEDs in action. I was about to put the purchase on some lights but I been waiting to see these LEDs burning. Id rather quite anyday over a generator running.

With the price of a good genny and halos ur cutin it close to the led price if not cheaper. Everyone dissagrees on the different lights shine better in different water. These are no where near the same lumens but they cut the water fine and I'll prove it any day of the week they will hunt the same. If your not looking for quiet then go loud and big. Give them fish a tan. It's just nice to hear what's goin on and not piss off everyone with the noise.

yeah they cut clear water fine, just like halogens do but i find that you need to put the leds a lot closer together for it to be the same.......loud as mud motor on the back or not,its still nice with no genny.
funny thing is when you fish near another boat using a genny, you will hear everything they sayin(or hollerin)all nite.

My motor ain't loud at idle either. The only thing that kept me from the LED's was the fact that I already have a genny. If I would have had to buy that too, it would have definitely been LED's.

Still working on getting it wired up. Only have about 40 mins of daylight left when I get home from work. As of now I don't quite have half of them hooked up but here is a shot of what it looks like from about 20-25 yards away.

night time pics are tricky, not sayin anything wrong wit da pic, just sayin.
sometimes the camera makes the light look brighter, sometimes it looks like
they are puttin out less than they do in real life.
hard sometimes to tell from a pic.

anyhow, looks like a good setup to me.

We go to GI just about every summer. Im from Berwick and my family all still live there so Im down that way pretty regular. I need to go in the off season though. Growing up my uncle had a camp out in the marsh across the hwy from Fouchon that we spent alot of time at.

That looks good man. I'm rigging up mine right now I'm going to put 8 halo I'm thinking about adding some leds to the sides for more light coverage. I've already got a 24v trolling motor how many could I hook up on those batteries and they not drain very fast. Id like to keep about 5 to 6 hour run time before they crap out. I'm trying to keep my boat light to get into some shallow small holes. My Buddy has a big boat we shoot off . It has 8 400hps . Crazy bright.

Remember this the more lights you have the better I will take 20 150 watt lights over 10 500 watts lights

I'm thinking the PVC might end up being a temp thing. I just needed something quick. My bachelor party is next weekend and I wanted to be able to shoot some fish.

Terry, I'm running a Pep Boys special generator. 3500 surge / 3000 running watts.

Why not the 2 plugs? I figured it would be better with some lights on each plug instead of all of them on 1.

I'm gonna end up running it for now. No time to change the wiring before next Friday.
