Post Mud motor as kicker for bowfishing
Does anyone use their motor for bowfishing with steer stick from the front deck. I have seen a couple boats like this and the idea seems pretty sweet. I just don't know where to get started. Seems like steering with the MM would beat the hell out of fighting weeds and shallows with the troller all night. Thanks

DeltaDuckMaster had one rigged up on his rig before he had the twin engine barge built.

^ that way or teleflex steering cables. either way you have to have your motor set up for remote steering. meaning you will need a tilt tube

you add a quick connect to your control box and get another one and move it the front of the boat. Biggest problem will be tying in the throttle. you don't absolutely need it but it would be nice to have

Yeah I have seen this video. There's a couple other similar boats on the bowfishing country forum as well. I spoke with PD: Control box $160, Trim $60. He said I will need to know exactly how long a cable needed for remote steer for pricing. Do you think this would be difficult to set up? I don't guess this set up operates like the fan boats with push/pull cable and pulley.
