Is on!!!
18" 4 pounder
20" 4.5 pounder
After I caught my limit. I caught a 5 fish stringer that easily touched 24 pounds. One of the best trips in a looong time.

 Re: Bass Spawn
Maybe we should stop keeping ALL big things LOL. No more shooting HUGE trophy deer, No more keeping BIG ass Sacalait, No more keeping HUGE Catfish. Man you have to keep some to keep the population culled. Last two times I went bass fishing I havent kept a single fish, But I tell ya what, When I am hungry for some bass I will keep what comes in the boat.
THe catch and release thingy always gets folks fired up, Catching em in the spawn is a good way to kill females regardless, SO if you fight a nice 4# female and return her and 15 minutes later she dies and cannot spawn from exhaustion, now that fish just dies for no reason, At least the other way she is providing a meal to someones family.

If I didn't have a endless supply of trout I probably would keep the bass. I just think trout and sac a lait taste better

I do think the spillwat should have either no size limit or a slot. I see a large number of 13& 3/4 inch fish caught

 Re: Bass Spawn
Two stories about Bass my Brother owns a nice Lake. When he first bought it. I argued that he needed to keep most of the Bass he and I caught. He insisted that all Bass be released. We caught a bunch and let them all go. fifteen years later my Brother begs me to fish and keep the Bass. I won't fish there because they are all real small and stunted.
A small private lake where I fished and normally caught 30 to 35 two to six pound bass every outing. I ate every one. I have fished that lake for 20 years. Last Summer it got so low all the fish died.

 Re: Bass Spawn
Went out this morning and fished the front. The bass were going nuts, they couldn't stand the baby brush hog. Tripled 4 times this am. We kept our limit of 12-14" eaters and must of threw back that many pretty fish. They are tight on the banks. Also picked up about a dozen sacs to end the day.

Yea they were nuts for me also. I had my 10 by 10:00am. I left them biting. I would have stayed but I was freezing my ass off. I wore shorts...I was praying for that last bite.

 Re: Bass Spawn
Man y'all make me feel like shiat! I just started bass fishing and can't seem to do well at all! I fished a 60 acre lake all weekend in Miss and caught only a handful. Like the guy said up above, noone has ever taken fish out the lake so they're all real small. I have been fishing it for about 2yrs and can't seem to do better than 3 or 4 fish a trip. Either I suck or there aren't as many fish as they advertised haha! Probably the first point!
Sweet fish in these posts though!

 Re: Bass Spawn
Got on 'em yesterday, got a limit of eaters, and a bigger girl that took a bad hookset. Did some perch jerkin afterwards.
Went back this morning by myself and got on a fantastic topwater bite. They were blowing up on a frog right on the bank. Caught a pile and missed a whole bunch more. Almost all big females today, so they all went back in. Most fun I've had in a while fishing.

 Re: Bass Spawn
Went back yesterday afternoon with a buddy to have ourselves a fun tourney style contest. Best 5 fish. Past two days I hammered em. Guess I caught all the big ones. I won with 4 bass only 12 inches each. Pathetic. We fished two and a half hours and tried every color and type of bait. Guess thats fishing though!
