Is there any way to make it stop backfiring when you left off the throttle? I can't hold the throttle open all the time

It may have a crack some where on it. Mine back fired when I had a crack

I'm not saying its for sure cracked. And I have the crossover exhaust, mine was back firing when it was cracked. Could be something else..an I'm pretty sure all exhaust backfire

Check your exhaust gaskets & the flanges can sometimes leak when new.

Heck my new one is doing that also. I thought it was just the nature of the beast. I know my EVT didn't do it.

Got it fixed. After talking to Dan. I loosened the 4 clamps and 8 bolts and tapped it with a 2x4 and it slid farther up on the header flanges and the leakage stopped.
