Anybody run a Q on a GTR? Tried searching but the search feature doesn't like "Q". I know guys have put duals on with the aluminum clutch cover and fabbed brackets but I'm more interested in the Q. Do I need any special brackets or the aluminum cover?

I've sold a bunch of them to GT owners. Dimentionally the Q is the exact same size as a stock muffler.

You will either need to remove the SS heat shield that GT put on the bottom of the stock muffler and mount it onto the Q (you better have some good drill bits to do so, but it can be done), or get the aluminum cover.

I don't believe the new Q (2011) has provisions for a heat shield anymore based on what the BPS parts site says and if it does it'll be on the wrong side of the muffler anyhow.



If you really want a heat shield tho, there is one between Tremp and upper landing on Brice Prairie somewhere.

Give me the gps coordinates of all your secret spots and I'll hit every one of them looking for that heat shield!
