New to the game - need some guidance
Hi guys Im new here and wow what a great source of information!
Looking to purchase my first mud motor rig. Will be used for running lines, duckhunting, and bowfishing so I need a good all around rig. Im torn between something in the range of a 16 x 48 with a 36hp prodrive or something a little bigger like a pro drive sbx 1854 with the same motor but with a center drive console. I like the idea of a bigger more stable platform that i can carry more guys in. But also dont wont to go so big on the boat that the mud motor cant do what its intended for. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Go to Loureville and talk to the guys at prodrive and test drive them. Then go right down the road to gator-tail and do the same. Call them both before hand to schedule an appointment. Anyone who doesn't do this, deserves whatever piece of shit they may end up with.

I agree wit QuackConsumer. TEST DRIVE!!! That is the best info you will ever get on this forum. Call the dealers and demo a boat. Chack out some of the local rides that are posted on here. Most people will give you a ride in their rig with no problem. Try as many as you can before you make a purchase.
