 mercury 40 powerheadidk if this is the correct forum but if anybody has a 2004 ish 3 cylinder 2 stroke powerhead with crank ass. i NEED ONE!!! thanks

Re: mercury 40 powerhead haha no thanks. will buy a remanufactured powerhead if i cant get one used. love my motor. had a few mods to it. nothing major. damn counterweight broke and screwed up my top sleeve and head. can anything be done to the heads of these motors?? i know they cannot be removed but ive got a lil scarring on the top cylinder head due to the counterweight coming apart. thanks

Re: mercury 40 powerhead You can get a new block assembly (no internals) from http://www.lmmarine.net/ for $1070 or so
Been searching for a used block myself seeing as the one I have has a cracked water jacket that I didn't find until after I bought a major rebuild kit (bearings, pistons, rings and gaskets). May cut my losses and part out the rest tho. |
