 Ignition wiring?
Tried wiring new ignition into 23 vanguard and now not getting spark to motor. Turns on fuel switch and turns over but not getting spark to cylinders. Just wondering if anyone has diagram of wiring for 23 vanguard. What I think is a firing computer on right side of block when looking at it seem to have power running to it but not out. Could I have burnt it if I hooked up switch wrong? Only running 12 volt so don't think it could happen but not sure. I hate wiring.....

 Re: Ignition wiring?
Thanks FJ. Any thoughts on why no fire at the cylinders?

 Re: Ignition wiring?
was it a briggs switch? if not the wires will not hook up the same. if its turning over then check your terminal ground circuit, are you killing it by accident. if not then i'd guess you fried the diodes.

 Re: Ignition wiring?
Where would these diodes be located? It will turn over but no spark. It was a briggs switch but the prongs on the switch are not the same as on original equipment.
Could it be terminal ground circuit that wont allow me to shut down motor? That is what started me having to switch out ignition.

 Re: Ignition wiring?
the diodes should be located inside a clear tubing in the grey? wire i believe right before they attach to your armatures. here is a pretty good mudbuddy diagram that will break the ignition system down. now this is for a 35hp. http://www.mudbuddy.com/_includes/MB%20 ... rim%29.pdf
