Picked my boat up saturday early from SETX Performance. I started it up and man it had a loap that was UNBELIEVABLE. I thought it was gonna die at times then there it was again. I havent ran it yet but will Wednesday. Cody did it up right for me he changed the valve spring keepers cause he said the stock ones were thin junk and noticed that s few had failed on other 23 vanguards. They were thin stamped keepers and the ones he replaced were from a 35 and were alot thicker and heavy duty. It was in and out in 4 days. heck there isnt anything left i can do to this little small block short of HC Pistons and a new crank. It ought to run. Gonne run it with my MM exhaust and then try my new BPS crossover and she which i get more performance out of then sell the other.

Not much of a gain unloaded for me. But, wait until you load the boat down. That's where I'm seeing my biggest gain.

Which cam did you use? BPS or something custom? Fixing to pull the trigger on a cam for my 23hp

Ran it last night two guys with two 48 quart ice chest. one was full of ice and beer and the other had about 20 frogs in it. I ran it mildly but opened it up twice on gps to se what she had once was when i crossed a big shallow flat and it got up to 26 in about 300 yards and i ran out of room to drive. then deep water it was a constant 25. just cruised around at about 1/2 to 3/4 and idled most the time. Gonna change earl and we will she more friday! tide should be out with north wind for 3 days.

Just got in from the marsh and ran the boat with the BPS exhaust added. It was my 2 year old and a 48 qt ice chest and I ran a constant 27 bumped 28. I was so surprised. My tiny tack is shot and I need to replace it so I don't know what RPM's really want to know that.
