 Mounting a new PD 36HP w/FPR
Going to mount my new PD motor today(Ihope) and after looking at it and the second oilsump for FPR I am wondering how you gouys do it? I have two vertical support struts to my transo which limit open space across the transom.I was thinking of maybe moutnig it on a rear pod on nthe right side(looking forward) of the boat. Might have to move my battrey from it's place in rear left side or whatever but all that stuff makes for less room in boat. any suggestions appreciated.

Really doesn't matter where you mount it as long as the hoses don't get kinked up or in the way and cause a trip hazzard. Mine was mounted right to a transom brace with a couple big self tapers. Just keep it mounted vertical and put it wherever you have room.

Thanks to you also Mitch- got it on but fgoing through the owners manual I found that instructions for reverse were for manual not new FPR- so had to mess around with it a bit still not sure i know how it operates 100%- going to look at PD video at their site and will post up if I have any problems.

 Re: Mounting a new PD 36HP w/FPR
It's a Bloody Beast- man with FPR it has more hydralic lines and gizmos than my super cub- stuff hanging every where-took first ride yesterday-started good- ran fine and made about 25 mph with twi guys- today i made new seat mount- new grab bar and did a few adjustments to various stuff hanging on motor-I think I'll like it once I get used to it- going out mana -tues- Wed. etc so will know it better by next week. two things I'm wondering about- can one get some tension on the twist throttle and steering? now they seem quite loose- Third thing-what do you do with the tension handle on the lower unit when you have auto reverse??I may not be too bright but nada said about these things in owners manual etc.

Just leave the tension handle in and alone, it has no use as far as I know. I can't help you with the throttle tension though.
