Po Po mudduck. Comparing outboard technology to SD technology is apples to oranges. The whole reason for the invention of the SD was because outboards didn't suffice. Building a lower unit similar to a outboard is actually reversing technology of of SD. You are getting closer to an outboard which the original people who invited the things were trying to get away from. So how is it "innovating" to make it more like a outboard? More user friendly?
