Do a search in the lower unit forum with the word "trim". Bet you will change your mind.

Trim only works well with a "back weighted" motor.

Gd is a balanced drive.

the original balanced hypers had power trim.

If you insist that you need one, I can sell you one for a grand.

If you do that go devil will make up some dumb shit about how u compromised the integrity of the product and probably not cover anything else that breaks on it. I think that's one of my favorite things about owning my gtr is that i don't have to deal with go devil and all their hair brained bull shiat anymore.

Like i said I can put him one for a grand and not mess up the great GD technology.

It would be nice not to have to hold up on the handle when your in heavy vegetation so it can bite!! it would Also be nice not to have to hang on the handle to get it out the mud!! But it's a flawless design so why bother!!

Robn 1020, sounds like you have a great dealer over there in cypress tx taking care of you. Im not saying that all my experiences with gd were bad but most of the time for me it was like pulling teeth to deal with them. Anyways ill keep my motor that Im now happy with, you keep your "coach" version, and if we ever cross paths well talk it over with a tall cold brew .ta ta for now my first class freind

Dosent the motor "float" on the trim? If I trim down and hit shallow water or thick ass veggie the motor will pick up even though trimmed down, unless I lock it down. Gd being balanced and all would just need you to lean back a little to put weight on it to hold it down. Right?

even back weighted, if the lillies are thick enough I have to lock my motor down or apply a lot of pressure to the tiller to keep it down.......would adding power trim to a gdsd be able to lock down like a pd?
