Anyone on here fish in or around Lafitte? I'm heading down there for a charity redfish tournament and never fish down there. I know where the launch is and that's about it! I figured I'll just fish the marsh like I would around Delacroix, but I didn't want to waste my time if a certain area is "off" this time of year.

Did some fishing in the pen last time I was home we ended up with 2 reds and 2 throwback bass. We could see the reds tailing and we hit them in the face with the bait a few times they just wouldn't hit and we threw the whole tackle box at the pretty much. But there wasn't much tide movement and the wind sucked ass that day. Hopefully you have better luck man

Thanks, Kwak. I have that experience all the time in D Croix...you can see 'em, they just won't bite!

Swamp - I haven't read too many reports out of there. The ones I have it seems that people were running to Barataria or GI and fishing for trout. The Pen looked good on the map and the marsh directly across from C&M looked broken up and good to fish. I don't know if it is though...worth a shot
