Post Finished the bowfishing deck!
So i started off this build with only 4 lights, and before they came in, i already decided to go with 7 HPS 150watts. They are the econolight.com ones and they have caps. I am using a yamaha 2800i inverter to power them and it works awesome! I also put hydroturf everywhere in the boat to keep it cool when the sun is beating on it and keep the slipping and sliding to minimum. Oh and its a Prodrive 18x48 boat and motor, and the deck was built by Deep South Custom Boats. I would highly recommend Deep South CB for any builds, he does top notch work and is fair on his prices.

Can you show a picture of the bottom of the platform?

Can you remove it yourself?

What is the purpose of the rails? I've never understood the rail thing....

Nice rig though

How do you shoot a bow with the rails?

I have no rails and don't see any reason to have them.

the rails are 28" tall, i shoot a comp bow so its not near as long as a recurve. the rails come just above my kneecap, mainly for my wife so she dosent fall out the boat after she shoots.

I'd rather just fall in the water than bust the shit outta my shin going in. or even worse get your foot caught and break your leg. I've never needed them and always saw em as more of a hazard than a safety. I haven't ever fallen off either but im sure I will on the next trip out now that I said something about it.

Nice deck. I use rails but don't bowfish. I mainly target flounder.

Do y'all shoot more fish off the raised platforms. I'm guessing it helps more during the day. We shoot lots of fish at night without one. But don't do much much day bow fishing seems they are to hard to see around here. Maybe that would help
