 Go devil pirogue
Has anyone tried a go devil on a flat back pirogue. Bc I was looking for a small boat for my 5.5 hp go devil and wanted to see if a flat back pirogue would work

 Re: Go devil pirogue
We used to use them years ago on fiberglass pirogues...the post for the go-devil frame dropped into a spud type hole on either end....just thinking about it now...that would mean you could have reverse...we never did that, though. I guess back then, the pushpole was good enough!
Man...that came out of Mr. Peabody's way-back machine. That was easily thirty years ago.

 Re: Go devil pirogue
Instead of the transom mount like the one in the photo, we had one that had a transom mount with a spud hole. The frame had a swivel type spud that was probably about 8" long...it was always a pain to lift the motor and get the spud into the hole. You could mount in on the back of a bateau or on a pirogue.
Looking at their website, I guess too many people rolled pirogues for them to keep making them that way? 6_5Intekenginelarge.jpg

Oops...spoke too soon. It was something very similar to this. The top bracket/mount slid in and out of the transom bracket. Swivelbracket.jpg
