 18hp vanguard go-devil surface drive need some advice on some cheap mods i can do to improve the performance of my 18hp vanguard go-devil surface drive on a 14' war eagle. i'm new to this so all advice will be appreciated.

Re: 18hp vanguard go-devil surface drive Sell it and get a bigger one. I once heard that you should always get the biggest motor you can possibly afford / strap onto your boat... otherwise you will always be wanting more.

Re: 18hp vanguard go-devil surface drive On a 14' boat you should be ok.Put a carb and exhaust on it.Carb is around 600-700 bucks.You can gut your stock exhaust to save some money.
