i need some advice i built this rig and put it in for the frist time and it wont get on pad .yes it is a 33 hp generac .i have a 38 on top and 50 on the bottom.a 27" outdrive im a big dude but damn i would think it would get it on pad. the boat is a 17' xpress 50" bottom 72" beam it is a bass boat that i hulled out .where do i go from here? boat doc said go to a 52 on bottom and im sure that will help but i dont think that will be enough thanks

Are the transom heights matched?

Are your rpm's where they should be?

What is the prop doing?

You really described it vaugley so I cant give an answer, but your best bet is to put a 90 Yamaha on that boat and get a real Mud-Hull for your Mudmotor.

yes they match,they r 3500 rpm it is digging. and i dont wont a narrow boat .and i like just having one boat .thanks for your help.

Have you messed with trim settings any?
Start trimmed all the way down and slowly trim up until it finds its sweet spot.

What is your thinking behind a mud-boat being narrow? They make mudboat hulls that size or bigger everyday. But that ribbed mod-v hull will never run right.

i didn t know thay made a wide one who makes it . and this is a hyper hull dont know if it is classified as a ridded. i my need to sale the motor and get a gtr.

I'm not sure on a generac but 3500 isn't very much. Should be over 4k. Also you seriously need to measure your transom height. Its a bigger deal then you think. Also I run a mud hull along with countless others that are wide mine is 54" with a 72" beam. It will definatly work better on mud hull good luck

ok thanks. the transom is 21" and the motor is a tall one top cover has 8 bolts in it .is your boat still for sale

Possibly man. I've got bow fishing set up on it now but I might make a deal. Also your transom will work the best at about 19.5 sounds dumb but I've been down that road. A 32" drive will defiantly help with that
