Has anybody here figured what the compression ratio with iron mountain heads is? And what it is with bps rods and pistons?

I just put one together with IM heads, PVT rods, & milled stock pistons. 205 - 215

I suppose for a guess 10:1 wasn't too far off lol... thanks thats exactly what I was looking for, needed it to troubleshoot fuel problems.

Thanks. A handful of us were running heads decked that much and some with a little more with stock internals and a cam with decent results a few years back.

Well that's a good reason it wouldn't cooperate! I'm a little iffy about the reliability of a 10.9, some of my runs put me out in the middle of nowhere 50+ miles from nearest boat launch

50hp, what would the compression ratio be of an engine using the billet pistons and rods that Al sells (0 deck height), with heads decked .020?

That's what my last build consisted of.

Although it went fast fast, it didn't last last.

My last engine had compression numbers like that.

It ran great with the EVT intake but when using the BPS, AV gas was needed to prevent detonation....which is what ultimately led to it's demise.

I've seen where many say 200 psi and above is really too much but these production motors are running 240 psi?

I looked up MB and they are at 4,300 feet, does that have anything to do with the higher psi? Are they not counting for the increased pressure difference from there to practically sea level?
