Performance work on 25 hp kohler PD
I'd like to have some performance work done on my 25 hp kohler PD. Ive talked to calebs and he only works on briggs. I cant get SETX to give me a call back. Does anyone know someone who would be intrested in doing the work?

Buy the 36 briggs that's for sale on here right now. Bottom line is no, nobody wants to work on them. Cody may do some headwork or something for you, but when I was messing with mine, EVT was the only company messing with them at all (at least in this market), and they aren't doing any more work as far as I know. If you are hell bent to play with the kohler, talk to Julian at http://www.midwestsupercub.net, but your money will be much better spent going to a bigger powerhead, even if it's a POS briggs.

Re: Performance work on 25 hp kohler PD
The reason I need to work on the 25 if because of the refuge hp restrictions. However, i do have one question about repowering with a 35. Is there any difference in the lower units between the 25 pro drives and the 35 pro drives? Meaning is it just a matter of swapping the motors, or is there more to it than that? thanks.

You can get the closed chamber heads from a 30 hp(make sure you get them with the oil holes for a vertical motor) they will bring your compression up about half a point, they help carrying a load, and fab up an exhaust or get the bps q muffler, that's about all you can do for these mud motors.

There's a lot more ya can do than just that^^^. Listen ta CB and call Midwest. There are as many mods available fer the Kohlers as there are fer the Briggs.
Make sure ya ask fer Julian senior, not junior.
