 Re: MMT Welcomes Gator Glide!
Thanks guys, good to be on board! Woodiebuster I'm positive you won't be disappointed. I would have been on sooner but I "let my business build my barn" . I run three businesses, have a wife in nursing school and I'm Mr. Mom to a 5 and 7 year old. Time and funds are tight. Shoot, I only duck hunted 5 time last year. I'm very happy to say that GatorGlide is carrying itself now and I'm happy to be on board.

 Re: MMT Welcomes Gator Glide!
Frog,
Since most of the people on this site are running duck boats, can you give us your opinion on which product would be best for us and how much is needed to do a duck boat? Say an 18'x54" or a 16'x48"? I'm sure others have this same question. I would imagine that the best route would be to use the primer then G2, especially on a bare metal hull. But, please give us your suggestions.
Thanks,
Kyler

 Re: MMT Welcomes Gator Glide!
Hey Kyler
The GatorBase G2 or G4 kit is ideal for most muds boat or air boats with 100 SQ FT of bottom or under. There's a 1/2 gal of GatorBase plus catalyst and a 1/2 gal of the GatorGlide and catalyst. Both will cover 100 sq ft. The GatorBase is a patented water base epoxy like the GatorGlide G2 or G4 just without all the super slick additives. It is super tuff with unbelievable adhesion properties which makes it the ultimate bottom combo. In my opinion both stick to aluminum better than zinc chromate, no other primer is needed. If you are going over something like steel flex then you don't need the GatorBase and a 1/2 gal of the G2 or 4 is plenty. A light sanding with 100 grit paper and a good wipe with acetone and its ready to paint on. Also you can mix 3/4 of it (depending on the size of your bottom) and save some for touch up or your canoe.

 Re: MMT Welcomes Gator Glide!
So if we're startin from scratch we'll need the 1/2 gallon of base catylist and a 1/2 gallon of gator glide itself?

 Re: MMT Welcomes Gator Glide!
"1/2 gal of GatorBase plus catalyst and a 1/2 gal of the GatorGlide and catalyst" each the Gatorbase and the GatorGlide come with its own catalyst. You do have to use the GatorBase Primer. But you'd be cheating yourself.

 Re: MMT Welcomes Gator Glide!
I can vouch for the stuff. I'd say that anybody who saw me jump that levee at the Henderson Mud Run at a blistering 10 mph has seen its worth also. I can slide twice as far as boats 3' shorter and 8 mph faster! Shit is fucking awesome! This is my first mud boat, but I'll run them the rest of my life. They'll all have Gator Glide!
