I heard today that Mudbuddy has delayed the initial introduction of it's new motors until November and won't be able to start satisfying most orders until spring of 2013 at the earliest. This sure sucks for all of the people who put deposits down with the promise of having their engine delivered prior to hunting season. Is anyone here currently waiting on one of these new motors?

Every single one of my dealings with Mudbuddy has teetered on disaster. It's unbelievable how consumer averse they are. They put their product representatives in positions where they have to be apologetic for delays.

That sure sucks for the idiots that thought they would actually have them this year. lol

I talked to someone at MB a month ago and was told they have deposits on over 200 motors. Looks like a lot of people are gonna be a little disappointed... I will say that the motor looks pretty badass though.

Anyone who was dumb enough to give a deposit to mb after reading all the threads on here, that I and several others gave fair warning about dealing with mb, deserves to get phucked over. Then when then they finally do recieve there motor, they will deserve to find out what kind of a true piece of shit it is.

Every single mfg. established or newbies, have had delays of one severity or another, in introducing new models and such. If you can't be fair in this assessment you are on somebody's payroll or a biased sob. Pass me a cold one!

Every time you deal with mudbuddy its delays. My dealer is awsome but hearin what he goes thrue with the headquarters would make you pull your hair out. Two more weeks

All too often people rush over giving large deposits for products that are never delivered when promised..forcing them to seek an alternative mudmotor to get them through the season as they await what was promised.

For many years now...several of us have made aware to the general populace the shady dealings and constant fuckings that MB awards to those most loyal to them and those most eager to test and own the supposed next best thing.

Sadly...not only are those on the waiting lists being packed...but the dealers who have been collecting deposits and spreading MB's promised delivery dates are also taking it on the chin. I would expect the dealers however to be more cautious as to what promises are made to potential customers...especially those with a long history of representing MB.

But I guess even those most familiar with the midget can somehow become immune to his constant mishaps and always immoral customer disservice.

Competition is good, Craig, lighten up. There are always exceptions, like in wartime when monopolies are granted to deliver a valuable product or service. Of course I've never plunked down money in advance for something that was not already mfg. Actually I lie, I plunked a deposit down for a new hand-made duck call from a local carver. I bought one previously from him so I am trusting his word and plus I know his address. Pass me another cold one. I remember that attributed to quote by P.T. Barnum "there's a sucker born every day"....

I don't see how someone can put down that kind of cash on a "maybe". I guess some people got more money than brains. I personally wouldn't put down anything unless I know it's out and available no matter how cool it may be.

I agree, this is most unfortunate for the dealers that make what are basically 2nd hand promises to customers & then can't deliver due to no fault of theirs.

Well for the uninformed just go a back 2 years and look at the 3 blade prop that took "2" weeks to come out and then ran like shit.

The same issue of taking deposits and jacking customers occurred with the 40 hp kohler. They took money and keep telling people to hold on they were coming but they weren't telling customers that kohler had pulled the motor from marine service. So a few got the kohlers while many had to settle or take a Briggs instead of the kohler which wasn't a bad thing anyway.


What I find strange is there are all sorts of pics floating around the www but I haven't seen any MB adds with the new frame. Yet before the kohler came out they had adds with it and the other briggs line up in all the hunting magazines. Interesting

What really amazes me that if you go on the mud buddy forum they have a bunch of puppets who constantly sweat the douche bag. They never have anything negetive to say about anything oh I forgot if you say anything negetive it gets deleted and you get banned...I can go on and on about GF and his shady ass

the smartest thing mud buddy could of done was to wait and realese info on these motors after this duck season. then start takin orders. now they gonna have a lot of pissed off people with no motors...

They had a sport v at an outdoor show here in MN. I didn't stop in cuz I'm not in the market for one and I don't want a mudbuddy, but it was there.

I was one of the first to order a carb and exhaust for a briggs 23from BpS back in 2005 I think (whenever they started offering them). I was told 3-4 weeks and it ended up being 5-8 months. The customer service folks were forced to lie every time I called....each time telling me "3 or 4 more weeks, just stay patient". Hard to deal with folks like that. Seems to be a common business practice over there.

I still have one on order and as of now am keeping it. could that change, yes. the benefit i have is that I have two other mud rigs that I can use if I keep my order. I live in south LA so my season doesnt start until Nov.

as far as the depsoit goes, it was a couple of hundred, not that big of a deal. and if I would choose to go another direction I will get it back.

The other way i look at is that I will buy one of these motors, I have run MBs for years an its just my personal preference. So im not going to cancel my order then buy another MM and then turn around and sell it, buy an H and lose money. If I want it then i can wait. for now
