Re: Isaac - Storm Thread A mandatory evacuation was just issued where I live, but the "good" news is that it looks as though it's going to hit a little more to the east again so hopefully that's the case - for my sake anyways. Still, not a good situation for anyone on the coast at this point...

Re: Isaac - Storm Thread I am in Okeechobee about an hour from the beaches in Stuart, Fl. We had some wind, Tornados, and 12" of water in 10 hours. Schools were closed Monday, Tuesday, and possibly Wednesday do to flooding. Some major highways were closed due to the flooding. My half acre has more than 2000 cubic yards of dirt on it to make sure my house stays dry. It now looks like an island. Yall be safe this storm was a slow moving soaker. I won't need to worry about low water this season on Lake O... unless authorities decide to pump it to the ocean east and west.
