The news over here in Florida has completely dropped the story, but it looked like you guys got a ton of rain! I hope you guys were high and dry!

Re: How did everybody fair through Isaac?
Lost the gate to my backyard and my cover for the boat. Bunch of sticks and leaves but my neighbors down the street all had water in their homes.

Re: How did everybody fair through Isaac?
Some minor damage here. Fence, some shingles, neighbors shed roof in my backyard. Got the wife out of a flooded house in Laplace. Just waiting on the power to come back on. My bowfishing generator hasn't been shut off since Tuesday night. I'm getting my money out of this Harbor Freight genny!!!!

Re: How did everybody fair through Isaac?
I just found out that Isaac took my old duck boat. 1436 jon with a 15 Evinrude. I forgot I'd left it sitting on its trailer on the Causeway at my buddy's property. Five feet of water took care of that pretty quick I guess. I hadn't used it in a year, but I am a little pissed it's gone now just because I'm an idiot...

I just realized how that sounded, so in summation: Nothing important lost here. I'm thankful for that, and I'll be happy to help out anyone that needs it.

Re: How did everybody fair through Isaac?
Only lost mailbox, and gained a few pounds.put about a hundred hrs on the big black iron pot and burner. Nothing but cooking, eating, and drinking the whole time. Somewhere inbetween all that, managed to fix, service, repair, assemble,or hook up 9 different generators around town.4 was done in the eye,or calmer part of the storm,it stalled on us for 8 or 9 hrs, then started drifting again. Sure was nice, going thru one on land instead of offshore....first time in a long time for me.

Re: How did everybody fair through Isaac?
I made out ok... nothing more than lost power and food in fridge/freezer, however have some friends that live across the river in Braithwaite who lost everything and some were at home as the water rose from the ground to the roofs in just a few min. luckily they all made it out tho. hopefully they will be able to bounce back from all this and get back to livin.
wish everyone else the best!

I had a little roof damage and seepage, and as of right now we still have no electricity, and I got a new fence from my neighbors, all I have to do is put it up, lol

Re: How did everybody fair through Isaac?
I still don't have electricity at my hose in Metairie. This bad boy is still in the middle of my street. Called energy and they seemed to blow it off again... My street is a ghost town. fun at the inlaws!

Re: How did everybody fair through Isaac?
I'm in Houma and although the eye pasted over us, we faired better than those to the east. I had no damage but power was out for 2 days, but my gen was up and running within a few hours of it giong out. Cooked a bit on the pit and waited for power to come back. Everyone around me faired well. With only a few losing shingles and whatnot.
