i'm guessing you've got issues with him not having it done in the time frame he said when he took your deposit. i've got one on order from jessie too, sent my $ 2nd week in june. i've got no beefs with him at all, i undertand that there can and will be delays when you order a custom boat, and that's not a big deal to me. i know he gave you a guesstimate on when it would be done, but shit happens. he's a one man show now, had a baby 6 weeks ago, and the hurricane didn't help. all those things are setbacks, he's cranking them out as fast as he can without building a shit boat. i'll gladly wait another month or 2 to have my dream boat built right than some pos that was rushed to get done so people get off his ass. i don't know what it is, but people don't want their stuff now, they want it before now. patience is a virtue

Docott --- it hasent even been the 8 weeks he told you it would be before he started your boat but yet you choose to fuck with him 4 weeks from the time you gave him your deposit --- not to mention he has a newborn baby (you would think being a baby delivering gyno that youd understand about new born babys) AND a hurricane that put him another week behind because his shop flooded. Jesse is a stand up guy -- he will take care of you -- but somethings are out of peoples control

from what i read here it says that he gave a deposit but then he started a thread about being undecided on a boat builder. Am I misreading something?

Here's the deal guys I started this thread cause jus like anybody else thats 10hrs away when you got thousands of dollars on the line you get nervous. I have not doubt that DSC can build the boat I want or I wouldn't have talked to them about it.

That doesn't change the fact that I am ready for a boat and..... Yes somewhat impatient. Whatever you love to do in a boat like these if it were takin away from you it wouldn't take long for your Sportsman addictions to start to haunt you.....and that's where I'm at.
I mean seasons are coming and I'm gonna need the means to do some things.

I understand ur concerns and I don't personally know Jesse, but I know he builds a fine boat and it will be worth it when u get it. Not a good idea to start this thread though, a call to him will go much further. Good luck with the new rig!

I have removed my posts because it wasn't right for me to post them in the first place. I apologize if I gave the impression that there was something bad about DSC, the boats they build, or Jesse. I let my impatience get the better of me. That was wrong, and, again, I apologize. I have nothing but respect for Jesse and his company. He's a good guy and builds an awesome boat. I'm sure yours will be no difference.

i hear ya about the season closing in, our early goose started 9-1 and then our duck openers are 9-22 in the north zone and 9-27 for the southern zone, both running 60 days. about a month ago i already figured that i wouldn't have it for the opener, now i'm just hoping to have it mid october so i can hunt a month or more with the new pup this year before we have freeze up or the birds leave. if i don't get to hunt much out of it this year, or don't get to hunt out of it at all, oh well such is life. i'll be a little disappointed, but there will be a next year. hell my new motor has been sitting at his shop since mid june when he picked it up for me from pro-drive so it can be painted with the hull, my warranty will be up before i have hardly any hours on it. maybe i should turn into a cry baby, but it still ain't gonna get my boat built any faster lol

He text me today saying he'd get with me tomorrow. When you're 1100 miles away you're not really worried about warranty work. That's one of the reasons you go custom over something like an excel, so you don't have to worry about it. My deposit was in before nocemdead and docott, believe it was sent right around 06-08-12. He told me the first part of August he stopped taking orders because of how far behind he was, and recently told me he sent back a couple deposits. I heard a different side of the docott story from him but its not for me to divulge that info. I'll know more when we chat tomorrow so that's all the info I have for now.
