Post mpg and additives
i noticed that my mpg's have been dropping lately in my truck. i put a k&n filter in it too. so talking with gf brother n law this weekend ( works for a gas distributor for gas stations ) and come to find out that almost all the gas in the area has been switching over to that 10% ethanol mixture. is there anything that i can put in as an additive to help get my mileage back up? i put some octane booster in with this new tank of gas i filled up with last night maybe it will work. any info?

Not sure man. I know Ethanol has a higher octane rating but a Lower BTU. So it is less efficient than pure gasoline. The 10% mix is enough to cause fuel mileage to suffer.

in the tow truck pulling cars behind me all day for a living, we have tried damn near everything to help fuel milage. filters, tornadoes, addictives, chips...nothing helped to where it was actually worth the money spent.
got a bully dog programmer, and it did the best. helped out with the mpg, plus its more responsive...but still not worth the money spent

i get 30 to 40 more miles out of a tank when i fill with Shell gasoline. I know they usually run 10 cents more per gallon than the rest, but thats only $2.20 more when i fill up vs. the rest.
