 mud buddy 45hp cam questions
can some one tell me how the mudbuddy 45 mag holds up with lower gears and cams?

Is that ''do what" to the gears? cuz thats what i was thinking when the guy told me it had gears in it. im kinda new at this whole surface drive deal

Yeah u may have to explain that a bit better. They have a gear off the motor and a gear on the lower prop shaft that the belt goes around. The cam shaft is inside the motor.

ha i no the cam is in side the motor! but this guys boat im looking at he told me that it had low end gears. i just never have heard of that.

Well with the Mudbuddy u can change gears to your liking, If u want low end, top end or what not. Not hard to do

Ok, if it has a performance cam (not cams, only one in there), that is potentially a good thing. The gearing should be set to get the most performance possible with a particular load. If he's telling you it's geared low, I'm assuming he was carrying a big load with it or something. The bad news is that with a light load you want get any speed out of it, but as mentioned above, it's fairly east to swap the gears if needed.
