 Re: buying gator tail 35?
Age - Wear - Condition - Price Are usually the big determining factors.... Try to find out from the seller what issues he has had and what repairs or upgrades he has made.... PS - that is a LOT of motor for a 14x48 ! ! ! PPS - Not so much HP as pure weight a 35 MM weighs about 300 lbs so it will help a lot if you get battery and gas as far forward as possible till you get a bigger hull for it... or... Re: buying gator tail 35?
I'm not sure, but it sounds like this is the same one on LA sportsman for $7500?? If so, you can buy brand new for $6995....

 Re: buying gator tail 35?
no would never pay that much for a used one, like you said $7000 for a new one. What is a good price for a 2011 with 130 hours?

 Re: buying gator tail 35?
I wouldn't pay more than 6k, and it would need to be real clean to pay that.
Prolly more like 5750
Do you have to pay tax on a used motor when you register it?

 Re: buying gator tail 35?
They are referring to one on LAS, it's a 2011 with 120-130 hrs and they are asking $7500, which seems a little ridiculous.

 Re: buying gator tail 35?
I wouldnt pay for than 5k for any used motor cause no matter how new how old any one can tell you a line of bullshit on how well it was upkept and blah blah blah when it's probably been dogged out got the shit ran out of it. Been there got burned on one, bought one with valves tappin didn't think nothing of it come to find out block was facked up an didn't show any signs in oil or nothin so me personally 5k is the max ANY used motor is worth at the highest
