mud buddy 27 mini sd question
I got to looking at my MB mini and noticed there were two holes were the engine frame mounts to the transom mount. Basically the bolt that the motor pivots up and down. ( i will go ahead and apologize for my lack of terminology). My motor is in the hole closest to the boat. The other hole is about an inch further back. Just curious if anyone could educate me on why that other hole is there? What happens if i move it to the back hole?

Re: mud buddy 27 mini sd question
My mini is manual trim and the further back hole is just for trailering. Also my pin handle twist like 1/4 turn to unlock it out of any holes for operation.

Re: mud buddy 27 mini sd question
Its not the trailering knob. its the main pivot of the motor up and down it has a nut and bolt. It looks like to change it you would have to lift the motor. Oh and I have a manual trim.

Re: mud buddy 27 mini sd question
i don't think thats what he is talking about but could be wrong. my mini has the same holes and i just assumed it was to account for different transom angles maybe?[/quote]
That could make sense. So is the hole that gets the prop further away from transom better? That would make it a little better angle of attack?

Re: mud buddy 27 mini sd question
I used to have a 27 mini. That is to adjust for different transom angles.
