 Bowfishing broadheads
What tips do you use. I have the ones that came with the ams set up and we lost a couple fish dew to spinning and releasing the barb. These are the ones I have. Don't care for them. http://www.yeoldearcheryshoppe.com/caju ... -2252.html

 Re: Bowfishing broadheads
Looks like the ones we used with marshmasters. Do you unscrew the tip a few turns and the barb flips?

Don't forget to spray some WD-40 on them suckers after you fish because you will catch hell next time you go out.

 Re: Bowfishing broadheads
When you shoot the first fish of the night and takes about 10 mins to get the fish off it really pisses you off. Not that I have done it or anything.

 Re: Bowfishing broadheads
Or, instead of spraying them with WD-40, you can do like I did. I have a piece of 2.5 inch PVC hose clamped to my poling platform. On the bottom, I glued a cap on. On the top is a screw in plug. I put about an inch or an inch and a half of motor oil in the pipe. I untie my arrows after each trip and place them tip down in the oil. This keeps them from ever getting locked up form rust. It also gives me storage for extra arrows. I think I have 6 arrows in that tube.
You can kinda see the PVC pipe in my avatar.
And I only shoot the Muzzy Carp points.

 Re: Bowfishing broadheads
X 53 on Kook's advice. Go with the Muzzys and buy some extra tips. I keep a small jar full of gun oil or motor oil and keep the spares in the jar. I also unscrew the tips after each trip keep them in the jar. 1st timers like to loose the tips so have some extras on hand.
