Hopefully this is the right spot for this. Ran across a deal on a used boat that's in great shape. Has a 25hp outboard on it with a jack plate. I am debating buying it and selling the outboard to a buddy of mine and installing a MM on the boat. Will that jack plate have any affect on the motor itself? I know it will give the ability to adjust the motor up or down, but unsure of the overall affects of having the plate on the boat!

Don't do it just sell the jack plate too and spend the money on mods
