29 hp surface drive on a 1448 boat

 29 hp surface drive on a 1448 boat I am thinking about buying a used 29 horse mudbuddy SD for my 1448 mod. v john boat. Is this motor too big and heavy for this boat without adding flotaion pods to the back? I currently have a 25hp 2 stroke outboard on it. Any feedback would be much appreciated.

Re: 29 hp surface drive on a 1448 boat Try it. Dont do pods just move fuel and battery up front.
